Conservation

The Greater Atlanta Pollinator Partnership was formed to directly address the issue of pollinator decline.  Through the promotion and development of pollinator-friendly greenspaces, GAPP provides a practical solution that directly impacts pollinator populations within Atlanta.

Helping solve the problem of pollinator decline is the driving force behind everything we do and is an important conservation concern of agriculturalists, horticulturalists, apiarists, entomologists, and lepidopterists worldwide.

Pollinators as a group face six main conservation threats. They are as follows; habitat changes, competition, disease, pesticide use, climate change, and genetically modified organisms.
